20.05 Release Notes

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TASK has been rapidly enhancing our Online Ordering solution to better facilitate contactless ordering across all our client’s markets.

Point

  • Resolved an issue that could prevent tables from auto splitting
  • Using the setting “Always Display Item Original Value” will no longer cause certain discounts to not display correctly in the sale window
  • Using the setting “Hide Total Discount Line” will no longer cause certain discounts to not display correctly in the sale window
  • Expanded the UI area for loyalty points earned so that larger figures will display properly
  • Resolved an issue that could cause multiple menu flow instructions to be removed from the sale when a single instruction was cleared
  • Pricing for menu flow activated products that are entered as a fractional amount will now display the correct amount in the sale window
  • The media function will now be assigned correctly when using the tender type for our Payroll Deduct integration
  • The ‘Total Discount’ line will now display throughout the whole transaction when discounts are active in the sale window
  • The receipt will no longer display the ‘Balance owed’ line when it isn’t relevant for a sale that used the ‘Pay by Points’ keypad
  • Reduced the data size usage on the .NDF table files
  • Resolved an issue that could block the ability to split a table when multiple products have been grouped via a menu flow
  • Resolved an issue that could cause an unnecessary media number to be added to the sale for online orders
  • Automatic printouts and on-screen reports are working as intended for Stock Production commits
  • Clearing items from the sale window when using Account Balance as the payment method will no longer cause an incorrect amount to display for the charge when the ‘Record Clear Items’ setting is enabled
  • Resolved an intermittent label / sticker printing issue that could cause labels / stickers to not print after cancelled sales
  • You can no longer account charge a gift card in xchangepoint
  • We’ve enhanced the gift card rollback functionality in xchangepoint
  • Resolved recurring sales error issues around large sales with table moving / merging
  • Using the ‘Credit Item’ key type on hit swaps no longer causes discrepancies
  • Resolved an issue that could cause special character entry on a sale to cause reporting issues
  • The display price will no longer show an incorrect value when using a hot swap on an upsize
  • Implemented additional stabilization to xchangepoint to allow multiple web services changes without having to restart xchangepoint

Fusion

  • The ‘Search Description’ filter in the Printers app is now working as intended
  • You can now assign Vouchers to a location as well as a terminal. This will also automatically account for when terminals are moved in and out of locations.
  • Cleared up the naming for Media Functions within the “Assign Media Functions” form so it is consistent across xchangefusion
  • Resolved an intermittent issued that could cause the ‘Menu Color’ field to not save in Menu Flows > Settings > Display
  • Users cannot save a “Default Reason” for the “No Tax” button type in Keypads
  • Running the ‘Edit Supplier’ action on consecutive products will no longer cause the previous products supplier information to display
  • The ‘incorrect password’ error popup will no longer display when committing a stocktake
  • Users can now save multiple ‘Default Pick Up Time’ schedules for the same day in one session
  • ‘Save as File’ will now allow the user to export a voucher as a PDF as intended
  • The ‘Requested Date’ is displaying the correct date on Stock Transfers
  • Users can now process refunds on credit card sales in the Manual Sales app
  • Web orders are no longer causing a ‘retrieving data’ issue in Transaction Viewer
  • Resolved a filtering issue in the Stock Tracker app that could occur when using the ‘Current SOH’ option
  • The number of menu flows displayed in the Menu Flow Availability form will no longer be restricted by the number populated in the ‘Records to return’ field. It will now display all relevant menu flows
  • The number of clerks displayed in the Clerk Groups form will no longer be restricted by the number populated in the ‘Records to return’ field. It will now display all relevant clerks

Portal

Users can now configure the Exclusion Status (Available, Unavailable and Sold Out) for Products and Menu Flows within Portal

API

  • Removed the incorrectly marked ‘required’ fields on the GET /api/v1/stock/adjustmentsForMultipleProductsAndLocations API call
  • Our Products and Menu Flow controllers now support Exclusion Status. The statuses (which can be configured from Portal) cover Available, Unavailable and Sold Out
  • Menu Flow templates will now be returned on GET > Menu Flow calls
  • We’ve added some new naming options for Products and Menu Flows which can be pulled through our API. If the ‘Customer Friendly Description’ is populated for a Product or MF, the API will preference this.

TASK App

  • The TASK App now supports points-based loyalty systems
  • We’ve updated our UI to be able to handle massive member card numbers (e.g. 12 digits)
  • Stabilization across Android for various UI issues, as well as a crash when opening member card on certain older devices

Net

  • Vouchers will no longer print on transactions that haven’t reached the configured ‘voucher redemption value’ amount
  • The assigned keypad will display as intended when multiple keypads have been configured

Database

  • The ‘Terminal Order Sales Finalised’ table is now available in the TASK Data Warehouse
  • The ‘Terminal Keypad Key Versions’ config table is now available in the TASK Data Warehouse
  • Resolved some Data Warehouse discrepancies around web orders in the ‘Terminal Order Sales’ table
  • Resolved an error that could occur in the TASK Data Warehouse ‘Terminal Report Resets’ table when there were no records in the table
  • Resolved an error that could occur in the TASK Data Warehouse ‘Terminal Sales Cleared Items’ table when there were no records in the table
