TASK has confirmed the contract with Spark Arena to deploy its transaction management platform throughout the venue, signaling a major shift for a significant performance space in the heart of Auckland, New Zealand.
Spark Arena is a versatile entertainment venue that can host over 12,000 people for concerts, family shows, sports events, expos, and business functions, with configuration options to suit different audience sizes and needs.
Before partnering with TASK, Spark Arena was encumbered with an older legacy platform that was not delivering the speed and capabilities at scale. They required a state-of-the-art platform that would continue to support the arena’s goals of being a world-class venue – and they needed it to be deployed within a relatively short period of time.

The platform, which was implemented in record time across the venue, has provided tangible benefits with an uplift in efficiencies, transaction speed, and guest experience enhancements. This project began by integrating EFTPOS elements; now, the focus is to widen opportunities for optimization across the business, including modules for real-time inventory control and integrations via the TASK API.
