  • Gift Cards: <\/strong>TASK MOP now supports Gift Cards end to end<\/strong>. Customers can buy a gift card and send it to someone via email<\/strong>, choosing a card design from predefined templates and a preset or custom value \u2014 available to both members and guests. Members get a dedicated “Your Gift Cards” area<\/strong> to manage their cards and view their gift card transaction history<\/strong>, can redeem a gift card<\/strong> to their account, and can pay for orders with a gift card at checkout<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Live Order Status Updates:<\/strong> Customers can now track their order status in real time<\/strong>, directly in the app. From the moment an order is placed, the app displays live updates (e.g. received, preparing, ready for pickup), so customers know exactly what’s happening and when to collect their order.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automatic Combos:<\/strong> When the items in a customer’s cart match a combo deal, the app now converts them into the combo automatically<\/strong> and confirms the saving with a friendly pop-up \u2014 customers get the best price without having to know the deal exists, and you benefit from higher perceived value and order sizes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Menu List View:<\/strong> The Online Menu can now be displayed as a List view, in addition to the existing Grid view<\/strong>, and customers can switch between the two at any time<\/strong> to browse the menu the way they prefer. You can configure the default view (grid or list)<\/strong> per app instance, or disable the toggle entirely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Enhancements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    • Faster Order Start:<\/strong> We reduced the number of steps required to start an order. Order Config steps that offer only one option are now skipped or pre-selected automatically<\/strong>, so customers reach the menu and checkout faster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Quantity Selector:<\/strong> Customers can now set the quantity of a product or menu flow before adding it to the cart<\/strong>, with the button price updating as the quantity changes \u2014 no more adding items one at a time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Long Prep Time Notice:<\/strong> When an item’s preparation time pushes an order to another day, the app now clearly informs the customer<\/strong> with a warning tile in the cart and checkout, and an updated pickup date \u2014 preventing confusion and refund cases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Large Order Lead Time:<\/strong> For high-value orders, the next available pickup time can automatically be pushed forward by one business day<\/strong> once a configurable order total threshold is reached, giving your staff the time needed to prepare large orders. The logic respects store business days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Consistent Cart and Checkout:<\/strong> Items now appear in the same order in both the Cart and Checkout<\/strong> views, making it easier for customers to review their order before paying.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Refreshed Look and Feel:<\/strong> MOP 5.0 adopts the latest iOS Liquid Glass design<\/strong> and edge-to-edge layouts on Android<\/strong>, alongside a refreshed TASK icon set, updated animations, modernised buttons and form fields, and improved touch target sizes throughout the app for easier, more accurate tapping on all screen sizes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
